Dear Cherished Friends and Members,
Billings First Congregational Church is excited to launch this year’s Stewardship Campaign as we celebrate over 140 years of building community, deepening faith, and doing justice together in Billings, Montana!
This year, we’re thrilled to announce a major milestone: the National Fund for Sacred Places has awarded us a grant for our Billings First Church Resiliency Project! This project will transform our historic church to better serve our mission, enhancing both safety and accessibility for our community and justice-focused ministries. In time, as we move through our Resiliency Project, we’ll be upgrading our HVAC system, replacing a very costly boiler system. We’ll also expand fire sprinkling throughout
the church, and add a lift for full ADA access, ensuring our building is ready to serve and celebrate community for many generations to come.
Today, we invite you to join us as we embark on this exciting new chapter in the life of Billings First Congregational Church!
While we celebrate this grant, it's important to remember that the National Fund for Sacred Places grant is dedicated to our Resiliency Project, not our annual operating needs.
Your pledges are still essential for the day-to-day work of our church. From supporting our ministry programs and amazing staff to the community partnerships that use our campus every day, your
giving makes it all possible. We simply cannot do this joyful, life-affirming work without you.
Located on the native homelands of our First Nations People, we strive to be a place of healing, reconciliation, and flourishing for all. With your support, you help sustain ministries and programs like Family Promise, 406 Pride Resource Center, Food for the Soul, White Eagle Talking Circle, and countless others, as well as the daily activities that make our church a vibrant hub of hope and action.
You can pledge below or simply mail your pledge card to us.
Don’t forget to look on the back of the card where you’ll find more
ways to connect, including options to meet with us and learn more about our capital campaign, legacy giving and more. We’d love to hear from you and learn about your ideas and dreams for our church!
We invite you to join us, as we move from our grace-filled past into a future filled with hope, love, and justice.
In Gratitude and in Faith,
John Smillie, Vice Moderator; Chair, Stewardship Committee
